How can I join?
Photographers can join Razzi by invitation only. If you’re interested, please e-mail us at email@example.com
Where is Razzi available?
Razzi is currently available to photographers in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the state of Utah. If you would like to be updated as we expand to new cities, please sign up for our waitlist on our homepage: www.razzi-app.com
How does it work?
Set up your profile as a photographer and receive requests for mini photoshoot bookings! It’s as simple as that. Send the final photos and get paid instantly through the app.
How can I customize my profile?
When you sign up as a photographer on Razzi, your profile will include the following, which you can fully customize at any point:
A profile photo and brief bio
The types of shoots you can be booked for (choose from: couples, friends, family, travel, fashion, senior portraits, milestones, professional portraits, proposals, honeymoons, engagements, maternity, baby, special events, etc.)
A portfolio gallery, sampling your work
Your hourly rate
A calendar of your daily availability
Your minimum and maximum shoot lengths (you can choose to restrict bookings to mini shoots between 30 minutes and 1 hour, or allow users the option to book you for longer periods of time)
Your turnaround time (how long will it take you to send the final images to the client following the shoot?)
Any add-on costs, if you’d like (for example, a package for printed photos)
How does Razzi fit with my already existing photography business?
Razzi is a simple mobile platform targeted for mini shoot bookings. Mini shoots are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour long and can be for any occasion – for couples, friends, family, tourists, pets, professional headshots, fashion photography, etc.
We see Razzi as a supplement to your already established photography business. Perhaps you’re a wedding photographer by trade and could use Razzi as a separate way to get quick mini shoot bookings when you have spare time between weddings.
How does the booking process work?
Razzi includes an in-app messaging system. We encourage users to chat with photographers about details of the shoot (exact time availability, location recommendations, etc.) before submitting a booking request.
Once a booking request is received, you will receive a notification and will have 24 hours to respond. If you do not accept the request within 24 hours, it will be cancelled. The photographer also has the option to change the details of the shoot and send the request back to the client. For example, you could change the booking time and send the request back. The client would then have 24 hours to accept the new booking before the offer expires.
Once a shoot is confirmed, it is the photographer’s responsibility to get the client’s contact information and mark his or her calendar and coordinate with the client on the day of the shoot.
What happens once the shoot is complete?
Once the shoot is complete, you will receive a notification reminding you to provide a hyperlink to the final photos through the app. Many of our photographers use Dropbox links to send their photos. You will be reminded to send the photos within the turnaround time you had indicated on your profile.
The client will be notified once their photos are available, and will be able to leave a review of their experience and a photographer rating out of five stars.
How do I cash out after the shoot?
Once the final photos are sent through the app, you will be able to cash out immediately, like Venmo. We use Stripe for payment processing, which is a secure and trusted system used widely by mobile apps. You can provide and update your bank account information securely at any time via the payments tab in the left sidebar. Your payment should arrive in your bank account within 1-3 business days following the cash-out request.
Please note that sending the link to the final photos is what triggers your funds to become available. It is important that you send your photos through the app rather than via another method.
What are the photographer service fees?
To help cover the costs of running the Razzi platform and processing payments for photographers, we charge photographers a service fee every time a shoot is completed. The amount of this service fee (10% or less) is calculated from the shoot subtotal.
What hourly price point do you recommend to maximize my bookings?
We have found that photographers who set their hourly rate around $100-150 attract the most bookings on Razzi. That said, you have full control over your own rates and can adjust them at any time. We have photographers ranging in cost from $25 to $1,000 per hour.
I typically have my clients sign a contract before we work together. How would this work with Razzi?
We also have a cancellation policy, which covers both photographers and clients. See below for more information on cancellations.
What happens if the client cancels or reschedules a shoot?
The client may cancel more than 24 hours before appointment, but would be charged a 10% penalty fee for doing so. If the client cancels less than 24 hours before the appointment, the client is required to pay you 50% of the cost of the shoot.
Your client may reschedule a photoshoot at any point and the booking request/confirmation process would start over.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a shoot?
If the photographer cancels a photo shoot, the client will be refunded any cost for the shoot that was already paid. We discourage our photographers from cancelling and rescheduling and reserve the right to remove photographers from our platform at any point should they abuse these abilities or if their professionalism is in question.
You may reschedule a photoshoot at any point and the booking request/confirmation process would start over.
What happens if a client wants to pay me outside of the app?
If we discover that you have asked a client book you outside of the app or pay you outside of the app, we reserve the right to remove you from our platform permanently.
I didn’t receive an email confirming the details of my shoot. Should I expect one?
You should receive an email receipt when you cash out of the app. However, all other information is shared via push notifications. You can always access information about upcoming shoots in the notifications section of the app. It is important that you enable push notifications for Razzi so you will know immediately when you have received a message or booking request.
Who can I contact if something goes wrong?
We are happy to help with any questions and want to make sure all of our users have a positive experience. If you encounter any issues with the app or your shoot booking, please reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will do our best to get back to you as quickly as we can.
